Shepherd's Pie

1 can of corn, 1 can of black beans (drained and rinsed), salsa, cooked ground turkey - combine in a casserole dish. Top with cooked mashed potatoes.

In Home Wine Tasting

We had an in home wine tasting party for my husband's birthday. It was a lot of fun and we sampled a ton of wine!! Here are some pics of the decor. No close ups of the food as most of it was catered.

Rosemary Chicken and Potatoes

When I thaw my chicken in the sink after work I usually add a marinade, this time I used a rosemary garlic one. I also added some rosemary and garlic to the chicken when I put them in the oven. And then of course, the red potatoes + garlic + olive oil in the oven as well.

Green Martini & Green Beer

In honor of St. Patty's day I mixed up a green martini and added food coloring to the big guy's beer. For my green martini I used Absolut and Green Apple Mixer. I also like fruit in my martinis so I added a couple frozen raspberries.

Tamas Pinot Grigio

Turkey Sausage and Pasta

Cook the turkey sausage.

Cook a can of diced tomatoes and a jar of low fat alfredo sauce (I usually don't use the whole jar).

Mix togther and top with shredded cheese if you want.

Airfield Riesling

Delicious sweet wine.

Folie a Deux Zinfandel

So good! We have had the cab before, but this one was also delicious!

Fiber One Banana Nut Muffins

From the box and they taste like the box. We ate a couple then I took them to work.

Chateau Chantal Red and Melini Chianti

Thumbs up to the Chateau Chantal, but the other was a little too dry for me.

Woop Woop Cab, Jacob's Creek Shiraz/Cab, Monte Antico

More reds - Woop Woop is probably the best, maybe that is because I think the name is hilarious.

3 Blocks Red Wine, Penfolds Shiraz and Circa Chardonnay

All of these were a-okay

Layer Cake Shiraz

This is our absolute favorite wine that we both enjoy and drink all the time!

French Dips

These were absolutely amazing!

I cannot remember the exact recipe I used, but it was pretty much this and it was REALLY easy.

You need: rolls, whatever cheese you want (we used Swiss), tenderloin (or whatever beef you want), beef broth, onion, garlic, salt, pepper

Thinly slice the onions and beef. Cook the beef all the way through. Then add the onions and beef broth.

Brown the rolls and melt the cheese in the oven or broiler. Add the beef and onion mixture and use the leftover broth either on top or on the side.

Circa Pinot Grigio

Another Michigan wine. This one was okay, nothing spectacular.

Sausage and Roasted Potatoes

Cooked up some sausages from Sam's, diced up red potatoes, tossed in olive oil, garlic, salt and pepper.

Cheesy Chicken and Rice Casserole

4 cooked chicken breasts + box of rice + water + can of peas + shredded cheese = dinner and lunch the next day

Chocolate Coconut Cupcakes

Cupcake mix from a box + coconut = Happy Husband

Strawberry Wine

Made me wish I had enjoyed it when I originally bought it over the summer!
